STRIVE TO DRIVE is a two week course, where we prepare our customers for the NEW JERSEY MOTOR VEHICLE COMMISSIONS (NJMVC) Permit Examination.

Who is eligible for STRIVE TO DRIVE
(TANF) “Temporary Assistance for Needy Families”, (GA) “General Assistance” and (Walk-ins) “General Population/Community”.However, for all Walk-ins there will be an out of pocket expense for the course.

  •  Failure to appear in court or to pay fines i.e., tickets
  •  Failure to pay Motor Vehicle Surcharges
  •  Driving While Suspended
  •  Traffic Violations
  •  Failure to respond to a MVC notice

Any WFNJ/TANF customer applying for assistance with the Up County Vehicle Maintenance Program must:

  •  Be a residences of Passaic County
  •  Have a active/open case with PCBSS
  •  Provided Proper Referral Form from (Case Manager,  Supervisor, AUTH. Agency Contact Person)
  •  Provided Copy Vehicle Title (document ownership)
  •  Provide Copy Proof of Registration
  •  Provide Copy Proof of Vehicle Insurance
  •  Provide Copy Driver Licenses
